Technically not blocking the crosswalk so it’s all good fam
Italian Parking Rule #1: Find literally any spot where your car will fit and just shove it in there.
Technically not blocking the intersection. These were there overnight.
Rule #2: lol there are no other rules
Wanna park ON a street corner? Go ahead. Polizia don’t give a fuck.
You say sidewalk I say loading zone.
These were taken in just one city over the course of 12 hours. I spent 9 of those asleep or in my room so really I saw these over just 3 hours.

Driving (and parking) in some parts of Italy is just a free for all thing. I think it gets worse the further south you go.

I'm almost as far north as it gets. I’d hate to see what Napoli looks like.

That seems to be just about the only place sacred here. Cycling is too important to Europeans to disrespect like that.

Go into Milan, Turin, etc... and take your life in your hands to cross a road. It's just a free for all.

No street parked Ferrari then? What a surprise...

I’d be terrified bringing a $30,000 car int o this city, let alone a $230,000 one.

Which makes the apparent fascination of Ferrari to Italians all the more mystifying.

My wife and I were in Rome a few summers ago and after dinner we decided to hop a cab back to the hotel. We got in a cab with a nice little old lady driver, and I thought to my self “Ah, this will be a nice relaxing drive back to the hotel”.
Holy hell. I don’t know the make and model of the car, but it was small and it had a manual transmission. Grandma lit up a cigarette , put it in first and tore down the street. It was like getting a ride with a professional rally driver; screaming down side streets, double clutching . ashes flying everywhere, it was insane. I was grinning ear to ear and I thought I had found my true spirit animal - a rally driving 70 year old Italian grandma.
My wife was trying not to puke every time we screeched through a round-a-bout, but I had a blast. Of course I had a few glasses of wine in me as well.
Maybe if I had been sober I would have have yelling at her to slow down, but...... maybe not?
I
t’s one of my favorite memories of Rome.

Palermo is basically a city wide game of chicken everywhere

Haha, yeah that will probably be something you’ll remember forever.
That’s the great thing about Italy, some of the people are the right kind of crazy!

This was my favorite in Milan this past May. “Screw your laws, I drive a Mercedes!"

Yeah, I think a car there might end up with some chain/lock marks on it.

Technically not blocking the intersection.
It is blocking one’s view to see if it’s safe to proceed, not that that’s important or anything...
